Mrs. Pidgeon pulled at my heart strings, and so many of yours as well, because she gave us something we had been missing.  Family recipes. OUR family recipes. 

I heard from so many of you- how badly you wished your loved ones had left something like this behind for you. I felt that to my core because most of the women in my life cook from their hearts and not from a written recipe. What I wouldn't GIVE to have my great grandmother's beet cake recipe, or her baked chicken spice blend!

I thought about it for some time and realized we could start that process ourselves, so our grandchildren don't have to say "I wish".  After months of brainstorming and planning, I'm really excited to announce the release of "In Our Kitchen."  With room for nearly 100 recipes, photos, and stories, this is YOUR legacy in the kitchen.  I hope you are filled with joy as you fill these pages.  That you are inspired to create new memories to tape and jot into place, and that those you love come along for the journey as you feed their bellies and their souls. 

Most of all, I hope we can all leave something beautiful behind so those who come after us never have to say, "I wish."

Please enjoy this journey with me! I am so grateful to Mrs. Pidgeon, whoever she may have been, for the vast friendships and outpouring of love I've received from her tiny box of recipes; and I hope her journey continues on for all of us for generations to come <3
