Beer Bread
This was the EASIEST bread recipe I've ever mixed together. I think it could be jazzed up really nicely with cheddar cheese and jalapenos but it's wonderful as-is. I used Shiner, but Mrs. Pidgeon didn't specify so feel to use your favorite beer for this recipe.
I also didn't have self rising flour. This is easy to make! Just add 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt to ever cup of all-purpose flour and there you go.
Beer Bread
3 cups self-rising flour
3 Tbsp sugar
1 can beer
Mix in mixer- pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 F for 50 minutes. Remove and cover with 1/2 stick of butter and back for ten minutes more.
