Creamy Shrimp or Chicken and Noodles

 

 I made the variant of this dish my first time around as my family isn't really into seafood.  I however love shrimp and both recipes are absolutely fantastic!  I used the few leftovers I had to stuff into a braided bread recipe and it was the best I've ever tried!

 

Creamy Shrimp and Noodles

 
2 Tbsp. butter
8 oz. uncooked shrimp, cleaned
¼ cup red pepper strips
½ cup frozen peas
2 envelopes cream of chicken instant soup
1 ¼ cups milk
6 oz. fettuccine or egg noodles, cooked and drained


In large skillet, melt butter and cook shrimp with red pepper for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in peas, cheese, garlic powder, and instant soup with milk. Simmer, stirring occasionally 5 minutes or until thickened and heated through. Toss with hot cooked noodles. Makes 2 servings.
Variations:
Use 8 oz boneless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips.
